It has become known to SEXPO® that bus advertising used in the 2015 campaign have re-appeared claiming to be ads for the current 2017 campaign, this is false. As can be seen above, this creative is significantly different to the 2015 ads used.

SEXPO goes retro this November giving punters a blast from the past

Record-breaking adult premier health, sexuality and lifestyle expo SEXPO, will be making its highly anticipated 2017 return to Melbourne from 16^th – 19^th November debuting a brand-new theme for the first time worldwide: ‘SEXPO Goes Retro’, at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

 As the longest running adult event in Australia spanning over two decades, this new retro theme for SEXPO also acknowledges those who have long-since been part of the evolution of the adult industry. International veteran adult entertainer Ron Jeremy, who began his adult career in 1979, will be returning to Australia for the first time in more than five-years to appear at SEXPO Melbourne and meet and greet with fans. American adult star Lisa-Anne, who has a career spanning more than 20 years will also be attending SEXPO in conjunction with exhibitor Fleshlight.

“Our retro SEXPO theme gives us the chance to celebrate how far the adult industry has come since our initial SEXPO held in Melbourne 21 years ago,” says Bentleigh Gibson, SEXPO Event Director. “From an education, health, and technology standpoint, the industry has really evolved and has become a mainstream topic of conversation. Our retro theme pays tribute to the early days of the adult industry and also celebrates just how far we’ve come; more than ever SEXPO is about inclusiveness and community.”

This retro SEXPO will feature a range of attractions giving attendees a ‘blast from the past.’ The SEXPO Retro Lounge will include a display on the evolution of porn, including VHS tapes showing older movies, retro furnishings and gaming consoles. Guests can also expect to see a series of muscle cars including a ’60 Dodge, ’72 GT and ’69 Buick along with a ‘Back to the Future’ spec Delorean.

“We are giving people the chance to step back in time throughout SEXPO Melbourne. On its brand new, redesigned main stage, world-class performances from Isabelle Deltore (Miss Nude World 2015), Satine Sparke and Miss Nude World Performer of the Year 2017, will offer guests a retro flavour. This is one SEXPO production truly not to be missed,” said Mr Gibson.

Education, health and diversity will feature heavily throughout SEXPO Melbourne. Internationally acclaimed transgender adult star Jane Marie will be appearing at SEXPO for the first time. “We had an overwhelmingly positive response from guests in Melbourne last year when we had trans adult star Venus Lux here for SEXPO. It proved that Aussie’s want the diversity they see in real life reflected and we are absolutely delighted to have Jane Marie on the ground this year meeting and greeting with our attendees,” says Mr Gibson.

Other adult stars in attendance at SEXPO Melbourne include Marica Hase (Japan) and Emily Addison (USA) thanks to Penthouse, as well as Aussie favourites Madison Missina, Jake Ryan and Aubrey Black.

Like at other SEXPO events in recent years, education will be key with the Red Hot Pie S.H.A.R.E Seminar Room acting as a hub for adult education about sexuality, health, lifestyle and intimacy, covering a range of topics that a lot of people may be afraid to address publicly. More than 22,000 people have converged on the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre over a four-day period (16^th-19^th November 2017) to attend SEXPO Melbourne, bringing a record-finish to a strong tour of three cities for during 2017.

SEXPO Melbourne saw 22,349 attendees visit the show, with a 15% increase in top tier Platinum ticket sales compared to Melbourne 2016. In addition, Melbourne ticket sales saw a 25% increase in average ticket price compared to a year ago.

“This says to us that punters are looking for a premium SEXPO experience with an ‘access-all-areas’ series of perks. We saw this trend across the board at all shows nationally this year and expect it to continue throughout our series of exhibitions in 2018,” says Bentleigh Gibson, SEXPO Event Director.

“This year marks the 21^st birthday of SEXPO, and there’s no doubt the public are still excited about SEXPO and our wide range of exhibitors, performances and products on display. Each city we have exhibited in over the past 12 months has broken state-wide records and continues to prove that SEXPO still sells – it doesn’t matter where you are.”

Debuting a brand-new theme for the first time worldwide: ‘SEXPO Goes Retro’, this paid homage to those who have long-since been part of the evolution of the adult industry. “We saw hour-long lines and fans waiting with bated breath to meet stars including industry veteran Ron Jeremy with his 40 year career and more than 2,500 movies, Lisa-Anne, Marica Hase and Jane Marie. Guests also flocked to a range of key attractions and exhibitors, including old favourites such as The Shafter and Pricasso, as well as the Red Hot Pie S.H.A.R.E Seminar Room which had standing room only for many of the expert talks, the Retro Lounge and the stage shows featuring all-star performers including Isabelle Deltore and Delilah Daniels.

“We have received overwhelming feedback from the general public on the quality of SEXPO Melbourne. Outstanding attendance at SEXPO Sydney 2018 proves Aussies are looking to learn more about what the future holds in the adult industry 

Sydney, Australia – 3 July, 2018: SEXPO, the world’s No. 1 consumer exhibition for the adult industry, debuted it’s ‘Feel the Future’ themed show in Sydney last month at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. Guests and patrons visited from all corners of the globe, contributing to what was an extremely successful event for all.

Over 25,000 people attended SEXPO Sydney 2018, making this the best performing SEXPO in over five years. Outstanding ticket sales showed Sydney-siders purchased 500% more Platinum Top Tier tickets in comparison to the last time SEXPO visited Sydney.

SEXPO continues to attract a strong audience from the 25-34 year old age group, showing approximately 55% female to 45% male guests attending over the four days. Interestingly, there was strong growth in attendance from the 45+ year old market showing that the seminars and competitions are appealing to people of all ages and ultimately that middle-aged patrons are intrigued about what they can do to liven up their sex lives, relationships and what is new when it comes to adult products.

More than 25 local and international stars worked at expo over the four days including Lisa Ann, Jenna Haze, Aubrey Black, Isabelle Deltore and Madison Missina. Over 40 live stage shows were performed at the expo and 35 health and wellness seminars took place, educating crowds of people on a range of topics from sex and disability to dominatrix practices to exploring the female anatomy.

Other popular attractions that patrons were drawn to over the course of the weekend included Harmony, the companion robot from the team at Realdoll, the VR stands enabling people to transport themselves into unimaginable environments and the Delorean replica car. Thousands of patrons were able to take photos and discuss the development of these world first technologies face-to-face with their developers.

“The success of SEXPO Sydney, 2018 says to us that patrons are looking to embrace technology in their private lives and are open to discussing new things. South Australians encouraged to spread their wings at  ‘Feel the Future’ themed expo, using V.R, A.I and all things tech

Melbourne, Australia – July, 2018: World famous adult sexuality, health and lifestyle expo SEXPO, will be making its 2018 return to Adelaide’s inner CBD in August. The popular expo will be returning to the state-famous Adelaide Convention Centre, unveiling its 2018 theme, ‘Feel the Future’. In addition to seminars, competitions and product exhibits, this years guests are encouraged to test out the most advanced technology within the adult industry and explore all things sex and tech.

Embracing the futuristic theme within Australia’s adult industry will be easy for guests, with SEXPO giving out free VR headsets to all attendees so they can experience virtual reality like never before.
